A live presentation of "Jerusalem: Holy — and Wholly Complex — City" will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane in the Monmouth Junction of South Brunswick. RiverFest Art & Music Fair

RiverFest Art & Music Fair will be conducted from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, in downtown Bound Brook. A showcase of world music and dance highlights Bound Brook’s annual RiverFest presented by Bound Brook Cultural Arts Committee and Bound Brook Revitalization Partnership will transform Main Street into a colorful boulevard of art, food and fun. Along with nearly 100 vendors, RiverFest will include Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, Asociación Cultural Pasion Peru, St. Anna Church Greek Orthodox Dance Troupe, Second Story Band, and Metrotang Band. Workshops will include salsa dance, hip-hop, and swing dance. U.S. Senate forum set for this evening in Edison

New Jersey residents with disabilities and their families will have an opportunity to meet the candidates for U.S. Senate during a forum this evening. “Every midterm election is important and this year’s is no exception,” said Carole Tonks, executive director of the Alliance Center for Independence, a non-profit organization that assists people with disabilities in Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties and chief organizer of the forum. All five independent candidates are participating in the event, which will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of NJ. Democrat Senator Robert Menendez and Republican Bob Hugin have been invited. The Candidates’ Forum will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in West Hall Parkside Drive on the Middlesex County College campus, at 2600 Woodbridge Ave, Edison. This non-partisan event is made possible through a grant from Disability Rights New Jersey, through the Protection and Advocacy Voter Access (PAVA) program. REV UP NJ is an effort to engage more people with disabilities in the election process in NJ and is part of the national REV UP organization.

'100 Reasons to Love Sayreville'

The annual Sayreville Day is Saturday, Sept. 15, at Kennedy Park, 807 Washington Road in the Parlin. North American Properties’ Riverton Team, representing a massive residential and commercial development in the borough, will join in the festivities and look to gather at least 100 Reasons to Love Sayreville in support of the Centennial Celebration of Sayreville becoming a borough. The NJ Storytelling Festival runs from 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Howell Living History Farm, 70 Woodens Lane, Lambertville. Latina business owners featured in new pop-up

The first pop-up shop in Perth Amboy featuring various Latina owned start-up businesses will open on Saturday to kick-off Hispanic Heritage. The pop-up shop features half-a-dozen businesses owned by women who recently started their selling one-of-a-kind small shop goods, including textile merchandise, baked goods and handmade body/facial beauty products from participating businesses -- FEM Shops, Dile A Ella, Popular Sweets, Allnatural, Ohhnana Swimwear and Su_Ella. “We are proud to be small business owners, proud to be women and proud to be Latinas. I want to personally thank some of our sponsors, Top Events Décor, NYC Party Masters and DJ Giselle and all of the supporting organizations who helped make this possible,” said Tashilee Vazquez, owner of FEM Shops, in a statement. The pop-up shop is located in the Perth Amboy Gallery Center for the Arts, 339 Reade St. The opening event will run from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Woodlands Wildlife Refuge holding Community Day

Woodlands Wildlife Refuge will conduct its annual Community Day from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16. Community Day is an interactive, fun and educational family day. The afternoon includes self-guided tours, and the Kid’s Den, an interactive area with wildlife focused activities and crafts. $25 requested admission donation; all proceeds benefit Woodlands Wildlife Refuge, a 501(c)(3) charity that receives no state or federal funding and relies completely on donations.
