Town of Plattsburgh holds annual Michigan Month T-shirt design contest
The town of Plattsburgh is getting ready to celebrate its staple food once more, and officials are asking artists in New York and Vermont to help them commemorate the event.
Michigan Month doesn't begin until July, but the town of Plattsburgh has already begun its search for this year's T-shirt design contest winner.
"Fire up your creativity and mustard up your best design for the Plattsburgh's Michigan Month t-shirt contest!" Michael S. Cashman, Plattsburgh Town Supervisor, said in a prepared statement.
Whichever design wins this year's contest will be featured on an exclusive T-shirt that will be given out to the first 25 people who complete their Michigan Month Passport, according to organizers.
All submissions must be original artwork featuring a Michigan Hot Dog, “Plattsburgh, N.Y.,” and “Home of the Michigan” text.
The design must fit within a 10-by-10-inch square and use no more than 8 colors. All ages and skill levels are eligible to enter the contest.
Last year's winner was Vincent Conti.
Submissions can be submitted to Jessica Kogut at jessicak@townofplattsburgh.org, subject line “T-shirt design contest.”
A full list of contest rules can be found on the Town website.
You can get your Michigan Month Passport at a variety of locations around town including Town Hall, the Chamber of Commerce or any of the three participating Michigan restaurants beginning on June 30.
