Idly Kadai release date: Dhanush film announces October opening, avoiding clash with Good Bad Ugly

Idly Kadai, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Dhanush in the lead role, who is also directing the film, has announced its release date. The film is all set to hit big screens on October 1, the makers announced on social media on Friday. Previously, the film was scheduled to hit theatres on April 10. However, the makers chose to postpone it with Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly hitting theatres on the same day.

Actor Dhanush, who is on a directorial spree after the latest releases Raayan and Nilavuku Enmel Enadi Kobam, is working on his fourth directorial. The film is titled Idly Kadai and is touted to be a heartwarming Tamil film. While the film was initially set for release on April 10, the release of Good Bad Ugly has pushed the film to a later date. Idly Kadai is now set to release on October 1.

Idly Kadai also stars Nithya Menen in her second collaboration with Dhanush after Thiruchitrambalam, along with Arun Vijay, Rajkiran and others. The plot of the film has not yet been revealed. Produced by Dawn Pictures in association with Wunderbar Films, Idly Kadai has music by GV Prakash Kumar, and is expected to be a family drama. The technical crew of Idly Kadai consists of Kiran Koushik as the cinematographer and Prasanna GK handling the edits.
