Ranchi: This year's Ram navami celebrations will mark a significant shift to musical traditions and for the first time, the city's traditional music bands find themselves sidelined as organising committees opt for high-profile musical troupes from other states. Prestigious dhol groups from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have been chosen to lead the procession, leaving local musicians struggling to find their relevance. Jai Singh Yadav, the president of Shri Mahavir Mandal, said, "We've brought in groups from Nashik, Jhansi and Kolkata this year. These teams offer coordinated routines, and diverse instruments for an unforgettable experience." tnn
