Netflix has just dropped an unrated, gore-drenched version of a horror flick that took the last decade by storm.
Back in 2018, this supernatural slasher hit the silver screen but was heavily cut to secure a PG-13 rating in the US, allowing younger audiences to experience the chills in theatres.
Despite raking in box office dollars, the film was met with a chilly reception from critics and plans for a sequel were scrapped amidst the Covid-19 pandemic turmoil.
Over time, however, it has garnered a fervent cult following among horror aficionados who revel in the terror as a band of university students on a Mexican getaway engage in a lethal game.
The extended director's cut of Truth or Dare, brimming with extra scenes that dial up the dread, is now streaming on Netflix UK, offering the movie a fresh opportunity to captivate viewers, reports the Mirror.

Lucy Hale of The Hating Game fame leads the cast in this risqué and hair-raising slasher that's not to be overlooked. Despite a meagre 15 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating, it has its staunch supporters.
A glowing five-star Google review stated: "I really liked it. It made me crawl in my skin because it was so uncomfortable to see, and a good type of frightening for me. I love teen horror movies and this one was really good!"
Another viewer commented: "I really liked it and I'm a picky movie watcher. Really unique and different, good plot, solid story and origin that is actually really good and cool. Definitely give it a chance."
And another exclaimed: "Amazing Film!! Totally worth watching! This movie is literally one of my favourite horror films. Definitely go check it out!!"
The film Truth or Dare has also earned high praise from Letterboxd enthusiasts, with one enamoured user stating: "Never before has a horror film frightened me so much and left me on the edge of my seat to the point of having a panic attack.
"Truth Or Dare is definitely a modern horror masterpiece! It's so fantastic that the greats like Alfred Hitchcock and John Carpenter would be ashamed they ever made a horror film that didn't live up to the amazing quality that is Blumhouse's Truth Or Dare!
"F*** Hereditary, THIS is the best horror film and film of 2018! Can't give it anything more than an A++."
On the flipside, the film also received a fair share of ironic five-star ratings from those who categorise Truth or Dare as a splendidly terrible addition to the 'so bad it's good' realm.
A reviewer remarked: "We need more silly bad movies in the horror genre like this."

SkyMeanwhile, a different user contributed: "This is my favourite bad movie. I especially love that they refer to the face people make as a bad snap chat filter.
"It's too bad they never made the rumoured 'meta-sequel' featuring the cast as themselves playing the game. It would have been real cute. This movie walked so Smile could run (I say that half-heartedly.)"
And yet another viewer concluded: "Obviously this is a terrible movie with almost no, legitimate, redeeming qualities about it.
"However, I have seen this movie at least 4 times by now and I think it is one of the absolute best times watching a movie I have ever had. I consistently cry laughing throughout the entire runtime of this 'so bad it's good' masterpiece.
"Like I said, it's obvious that this isn't a good movie, but I always have the best experience watching it and showing it to other people."
