One of the greatest rock bands of all time will perform its final run of shows across North America in 2025. The Who announced "The Song Is Over" tour that will go from August to September.
It is the end of an era for the legendary English band that formed in 1964, currently featuring Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. It is, according to the group, a "bittersweet final tour of the US and Canada as a truly grand finale of their illustrious six-decade career."
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers became a key piece of the pop art and mod movements. In America, they grew in popularity thanks to an appearance at Woodstock. The Who broke several world records, some in the United States, and even performed at a Super Bowl in 2010.

"Every musician's dream in the early 60's was to make it big in the U.S. charts," Daltrey said. "For the Who, that dream came true in 1967 and our lives were changed forever. The warmth of the American audiences over the years have been inspirational to me, and reflect the feeling I remember getting after hearing the first rock records coming across the radio. Musical freedom!
"Rock gave us a feeling of generational rebellion. To me, America has always been great. The cultural differences had a huge impact on me, this was the land of the possible. It's not easy to end the big part of my life that touring with The Who has been. Thanks for being there for us and look forward to seeing you one last time."
Some of the top songs from the group that have stood the test of time include "Baba O'Riley," "I Can See for Miles," "Love, Reign o'er Me," "My Generation," and "Who Are You."
It is unknown if the group will truly call it quits after the tour or, like Dead & Company, will make small appearances. Regardless, the tour will be one you can't miss. Will you be at one of The Who's shows?
